I can lay my hands on a 2nd hand LS1 PCM, Wirirng harness (from an aussie car) and Coils and stock brackets for AUD $700, so I would like too if possible source the reluctor/crank sensor/cam sensor for less the $300 too keep the cost under 1k. The efi connection reluctor wheel is $295 alone and as it sits it wont fit and would probably cost more than the the total of the factory parts i can buy. If you want to increase the tuning potential for your LS engine, there are quite a few options. I appreciate your suggestion re eficonnection but would prefer to use cheaper factory parts. The controller includes the MAP sensor and is compatible with all LS-series ignition coils. Modify remains of Dizzy toĪccept the correct Cam sensor (assuming the current sensor is not compatiable) and modify the 8x wheel to 1x (also not a problem) The cost of the eficonnection parts doesnt make this a worthwhile exercise.īascially i will need to adapt the 24x GM Reluctor wheel to fit., Modify/Fabricate Crank sensor mounting bracket. alot will return the tune to standard for no cost which will allow you to tune away yourself without worrying about the tune that was in it. I cant see they value in purchasing the eficonnection parts for this conversion as non of it is bolt on for my engine and will all need to be modded significantly to allow it too work. I wont have any problem using what i have now to provide the cam angle signal. What Is HP Tuners Your options when it comes to tuning can be broken down into two.
Im just sick of the drivability issues with the aftermarket Ecu and the lack of decent closed loop etcĭizzy was modded too fit. Mine makes aprox 240kw at the crank with a nice torque spread due to the long intake runners. The engine wieghs 130kgs built ready to run so that is one of there strenghts. Ram tub inductuion under a common plenum. Stroked to 4.6ltrs, 4 bolt mains, ally block and heads. CORE ECU Now Available for your Standalone Needs Started by DarekHPTuners, 10-31-2023. Mine is the last of this version of the engine. The original 3.5ltr Versions where made too a design purchased from Buick in the late 60's. The Rover doesnt share a great deal with anything GM these days. This will be modded to provide crank phasing. This runs a hall effect with and 8x trigger. The engine was running a bosch/gm dizzy from a 5.7ltr holden motor here in Aus. Similarly, once you purchase and license a 4-credit vehicle, those 4 credits are now used/licensed. Once you make a 4-minute phone call, those 4 minutes you bought are now used. Then, you buy minutes to make calls and text people (aka, credits). The only issue I see there is timing it correctly First, you buy the actual device, in this case, a phone (your MPVI3). Im running this setup and the engine will be quite easy to mod to suit the GM parts. The issue is the LS2 has a 24x reluctor wheel and 1x cam gear and my PCM is obviously looking for 58x / 4x wheel/gear signals. I plan to run a stock reluctor modded to mount on the back of the harmonic balancer. Im looking to install a nicely built LS2 into my 07 Z06.
